Los Angeles-based high end pet jewelry brand, Beasty Bling, announced today the launch of The Company’s latest line for men, DAWG. “Moving from New York City to Los Angeles, I’ve noticed the strong surf culture here. You see women and men, of all ages, with their gear almost all year round. It is a way of life when you live near the beach,” said Kate Noto, designer and CEO of Beasty Bling. “I think that the sunshine, blue skies, the outdoor lifestyle and the people who live it, provided a lot of the inspiration for DAWG.”
Noto is a gemologist, art historian and jewelry designer. Her background in antique jewelry and gemology is reflected in the hand-selected materials and one-of-a-kind designs. Kate unites the pet and fashion world by creating human and pet jewelry that provides unique personal expression. Beasty Bling is not one would assume by hearing the name, there is an air of sophistication and a bit of whimsy in each design. “I find that men on the West Coast are not afraid to adorn themselves as a way of expression. After all, look at all the beautiful tattoos,” said Noto. Combining new shapes, sizes and types of semi-precious stones like jaspers and jade with pearls, gold and other unique beads provide a more masculine feel. “As I was working I really felt that what I was doing was a celebration of men,” said Noto. “I wanted to see them in hip as well as dressy neckwear.” DAWG for Men is a great replacement or addition to the subtle gold chain.
